This week, we reviewed all of our red words. The students went to different stations to practice writing and reading each word. This multisensory approach helps them learn each word!
Practice this song at home to help your child learn how to round numbers! We had a great time making this video!
Numbers, numbers, everywhere... In math, we have been working reading larger numbers, ordering, comparing, and identifying! Whew! That's a lot of numbers!
This week, all of the students in Tulsa trail participated in the school's week of respect activities. Today, all classes had to create a poster symbolizing respect. Our class, combined with Miss Ferrentino created this awesome bulletin board:
After the kids traced their bodies and decorated them, we labeled each part of our body and how it can show respect. For example, our head helps us to think good thoughts, we say kind words with our mouth, our hands are for helping, we love with our heart, and our feet help us to step up and do what is right.
What do you get when you add a great class with Random Acts of Kindness? A pizza party! Today our class and Miss Douglas' class earned a pizza party for showing the most acts of kindness to those in our school. Way to go!
Conflicts are a natural part of life! But to help us cope with them, our students use a Peace Maker Bridge. Students take turns sharing their feelings and discussing ways to solve their problem until the conflict is resolved. You can also try the Peach Maker Bridge at home!
